E-mail Messages Not Sending Properly in Outlook XP

Problem: You are receiving mail, but outgoing mail does not always go out, particularily if the mail is written right after starting Outlook, or before a modem connection is made to Outlook.

Solution: You may need to change the way your Outlook authenticates with the Isolnet server.

Follow these steps:

1) Click Tools -> E-mail Accounts.

2) Click "Next >".

3) Select the e-mail account you are having problems with (for multiple accounts, you may have to repeat the following steps until you have made changes to all of your accounts hosted with Isolnet).

4) Click "Change...".

5) The following window will appear:

6) Click "More Settings" to access the Advanced Settings.

7) On the following window, click the "Outgoing Server" tab.

8) Finally, select both "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication" and "Log on to incoming mail server before sending mail".

9) Click "Ok", "Next >", and "Finish".

10) Try checking and sending your e-mail again.
