I offer comprehensive internet services to the corporate and artistic communities of Chicago, Milwaukee, and Kenosha. In my nine years of experience, I have satisfied my clientele by providing stellar service that can only come from knowing and performing the craft myself. I take the time to understand my clients’ artistic vision, and I translate it to the computer screen.

In the course of nine years, I have consulted for clients including dance and theatre companies, festivals, independent artists, and dance schools. My reputation for honesty, diligence, and attention to detail precedes me in the artistic community. I don't have to go looking for new clients. The vision for Landa Enterprises is to be a major provider of internet service consulting and marketing consulting for artistic organizations in the Midwest. Through my business, my personal hope is to encourage collaborations between organizations that have similar visions.

I draw from my six years of experience in the corporate world to help my clients be competitive and focused. From switchboard to server room, I proved my proactive and responsible work ethic in every position I filled at this worldwide firm, eventually earning the CEO’s Technology Award. Overseeing the interface development for a CD-ROM product aimed at top clients, implementing two major redesigns of the corporate web site and cooperating to plan and execute a seamless Y2K conversion were among my major achievements here. Thanks to the importance I gave to every project I was given in my six years of employment, when I left to begin working as a full-time consultant, this former employer was first in line.

My academic knowledge of communication and psychology and my study of dance, combined with my programming and teamwork experience, enables me to translate ideas between the artistic director who presents a profound and ever-focusing vision, the general business manager who really knows what's going on, and the programmer/grant writer/graphic designer/P.R. firm who require detailed technical instructions and materials.

Skills

Alone or as part of a team, I can perform every aspect of site design from concept to launch.

* Set up, administer, and troubleshoot a web server.
* Register DNS, create user accounts, and administer e-mail.
* Create Photoshop drafts showing “look-and-feel” concept and site navigation.
* Create original graphics (jpeg, animated gif, etc.), logos, and manipulate photos.
* Hand-code all of my own original HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
* Generate interactive Flash media.
* Program in server-side languages, including languages that talk to databases.
* Comment my code so future designers may read it and make modifications.
* Guarantee cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility (when requested).
* Encourage my client to be a part of the design process and feedback loop.
* Employ user testing practices to make sure the site is friendly and usable.
* Design print marketing and direct mail campaigns to accompany the site launch.
